It's another slow Sunday. Literally slow. I did very little all day. I was out late last night because it was book group night. We read The Tortilla Curtain by T.C. Boyle. No one really liked it but I have to say that I thought it was a worthwhile read. It was just super depressing. It focused on a family in California and a family from Mexico who crossed the border and were just trying to survive. Really a contrast in lives and how quickly a prejudice can form. It was hard to read with all of the depressing news in the world these days and with the non-stop rain. I made Margaritas which were fabulous! I got the recipe from Martha Stewart because I heard Oprah say that Martha made the best margaritas. I also made Tortilla soup. First time to make it and it was really easy and good. Book group is always so much fun. I look forward to it each month. We ended up talking till after 11 pm.
I am in the middle of 3 other books so I need to settle down and finish them. I'm almost done with Austenland. I'm half way done with The Room. And I'm maybe a quarter of the way done with Educating Alice. I'm going to try to finish all 3 this week.
I went to Yoga this morning. I love that I'm getting stronger each week. It makes me feel great. I'm going to try to go 3 more times this week. If I can go 3-4 times each week and walk at least 3-4 times a week, I'll be doing well. I just have to get the eating under control. The other night I ate an entire roll of GS cookies. Ugghh.

I just started reading that book and you're right it IS depressing (but 100% accurate). Its great that you're going to yoga again. It is so hard to get back into a regular routine...until you start seeing results of course!
